Books allow a child to learn and develop in larger leaps. Help your children grow with books. Start with family, friends, then community. Concepts such as being fair and helping and respecting others can be difficult to teach. It's important, therefore, to relate those concepts to a child's realm of experience. Educators follow a rational sequence and you can do the same. First, choose books with story lines about the first social unit children encounter: families. Then move to stories that talk about friendship. And finally, as children get a little older, read to them from books that include themes about community. Our child book selection is divided into three categories: Child Activity Books, Child Learning Books, and Child Story Books.
